A Sacred Gathering: Activating Beauty Vibration Through Plant Magic and Community

Hola, gorgeous souls! Last Saturday, we gathered to celebrate beauty as a vibration—a powerful force that transcends age, products, and filters. Set under the soulful glow of  Anima Mundi, a Venice Beach apothecary rich with ancient wisdom, we explored how nature’s energy helps us activate our own unique beauty frequencies through rituals, movement, and plant magic.

We began with a grounding ritual using  The Herbal Astrology Pocket Oracle, where each participant pulled a card. These small moments of divine connection guided us toward insights on self-care,  healing, and the energy we carried into the day. It was amazing how each card reflected the themes of our gathering: community, self-love, and a reminder of the wisdom we hold within ourselves and the plant kingdom. This ritual established a sacred foundation for everything that followed.

Our day was set with sacred intention. We crafted a beautiful altar adorned with roses, chocolate, and freshly gathered flowers—each bloom a tribute to the divine feminine. As we placed each petal, we were reminded that true beauty is nurtured, not manufactured. The altar, like an embrace from Mother Earth, held space for our intentions, calling us to reconnect with our most authentic selves.

Guiding us through this sacred journey was the incredible  Meleesa Luna, a modern-day medicine woman from Costa Rica with over 25 years in the beauty industry, and owner of LaB.otanica. Meleesa is a passionate educator, herbalist, and beauty vibration enthusiast, and her workshop awakens participants to the art of self-love and clean beauty. Her deep knowledge of ancestral wisdom and plant magic enriched our time together, as she shared remedies and rituals that honor both ancient traditions and modern beauty needs.

The workshop was filled with energy. We started with gentle movement to release stagnant energy from our bodies and faces. Through this practice, we softened stress lines, eased tension, and felt our  beauty vibration  activate from within. Next, we transitioned into a  Gua Sha  workshop, where we learned the ancient art of facial massage using our very own  LaB.OTANICA Plant Magic Potion  collection.

For those new to  Gua Sha, it’s a traditional East Asian practice that uses a smooth stone tool to gently massage the face, neck, and shoulders. With every stroke, we released tension, increased circulation, and moved stagnant energy. This practice, known for promoting lymphatic drainage, helps eliminate toxins and reveals a more vibrant, relaxed complexion. During the workshop, we focused not just on technique but also on how  Gua Sha allows us to connect with ourselves on a deeper level.

It’s not about being flawless, but about embracing wholeness and honoring every stage of our journey.

The event was sold out, with participants from all walks of life coming together. Here, beauty wasn’t defined by-products or industry promises. It was defined by the courage to show up, connect, and love ourselves exactly as we are.

Creating this kind of community is at the heart of what we do. Each person contributed to weaving a tapestry of beauty that celebrated diversity and authenticity.
