OUR NAME:
Botánica is the Spanish word for “botany” or “plant store” — a space where medicinal herbs, spiritual remedies, and healing rituals live. In many Latin American countries and Latino communities worldwide, botánicas are sanctuaries of connection, wisdom, and plant magic. Growing up in Costa Rica, I loved stepping into these spaces — shelves lined with roots, flowers, and oils, each one holding the potential to heal, transform, and restore balance.
In honor of these sacred spaces, I joined “Lab” — a symbol of science, precision, and formulation — with “Botánica” to create La.BOTANICA: where ancestral wisdom and modern innovation meet.
